Do you miss my smell?
A bottle of Chardonnay, legs outstretched, she laid her head on his shoulders. With her left hand limp under his right, he grasped it and held it tight.
Tripping over her heels, her laughter rang like music on continuous replay. The obscureness of the night choking, he tried to hold her, but it felt like she was slipping away, slowly.
Occasional engines sounding in the distance, rippling the stillness of the dark. Chilly raindrops falling lightly against their faces.
“Tell me why.” She questioned.
“I just want to.” He replied.
He lifted his hands to her hips, holding her close.
“What’s the reason?” She persisted. He cupped her face, and lifted her lips to his. Lips, which were as cold as ice, hands, which was as warm as her heart.
“I...” She murmured and allowed herself to fall.
